From Guy Ritchie, witness the legendary origin story of Sherlock Holmes in this irreverent, action-laden mystery that follows the iconic detective’s early adventures. Sherlock Holmes is a disgraced young man – raw and unfiltered – when he finds himself wrapped up in a murder case that threatens his liberty. His first ever case unravels a globe-trotting conspiracy, culminating in an explosive showdown that changes his life forever. Unfolding in 1870s Oxford and adventuring abroad, the series will expose the early antics of the anarchic adolescent who is yet to evolve into Baker Street’s most renowned resident. Young Sherlock premieres on Prime Video March 4th, 2026.
Soundscapes and Screencraft at Australia House
Cheryl was a speaker at Soundscapes & Screencraft: Australian Voices in Global Production, hosted by APRA and Sounds Australia at the Australian High Commission in the UK. The aim of the event was to bring together people from across the music and screen sectors to celebrate Australian voices in global productions.
After an introduction by the Australian Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Elisabeth Bowes, Dom Alessio of Sounds Australia hosted a panel of Australian filmmakers currently in the UK who are working on global productions: writer/director Jennifer Perrott (The Ravens, Dr Who, Gentleman Jack), composer Richard Pike (Romper Stomper, Les Norton, Tucci in Italy), music supervisor Anne Booty (Poor Things, Kinds of Kindness, Bugonia) and Editor Cheryl Potter (The Agency, Star Wars: The Acolyte, The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power).
The role of music in filmmaking was discussed in depth – at what point does music become part of the conversation on a project, how to choose the right commercial tracks, the necessity and difficulties of using temp music, the relationship between directors, composers, Editors and music supervisors, how AI is changing (or not changing) how we work, and much more.
This was the first Soundscapes & Screencraft event to be held (hopefully of many) and some fantastic conversations were had on and off stage.
